About me

I like to think of myself as a knowledge worker, though don’t ask me to explain what that means.

I am also a mum to two boys, a wife to a fellow tech/policy/data guy, a sister to a mumpreneur and a daughter to a professor. At various points in my life I have called myself a marxist, humanist, feminist, philosopher, bookseller and piano player. Some of those things are still true.

These days I tweet a lot less than I used to, but you can still find me there as @ambrouk.

Workwise, I was at JISC for over six years, then the University of Warwick for eight and a half years. During summer 2021 I took a career break and I am currently leading a digital change programme at a leading University.
